Blue Invaders is a slot game with cluster mechanics and an 8×6 field where aliens, guns, and ammo are located. The point is to shoot aliens, but guns shoot only when they have ammo nearby. Different aliens have different amounts of health, and each destroyed alien grants different rewards. Total rewards for the spin are multiplied by the number of aliens killed. Also, destroying big ones gives you free spins.
Aliens differ not only in health and rewards but also in abilities. Some can summon reinforcements to the field when destroyed, some give a protective field to neighboring cells, some cause damage to everyone around them when destroyed.

Guns are featured in various ways. At least the maximum amount of ammo, up to 8, and a variety of boosters strengthening the guns.

There is also a so-called Kill-o-Meter on the screen. It counts the kills and coins that the player gets during the spins.
